Project Title: HIV/AIDS Prevention and Case Detection in Trans People (Vol2)

Donor: The service was delivered by “Temida” in collaboration with “Equality Movement” through the “National Center for Disease Control and Public Health” as part of the program “HIV Infection/AIDS Prevention and Case Detection in the LGBT Community.” The initiative is funded by the “Fight against HIV Infection/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria” program by the Global Fund.

Planned Project Budget:

The goal of the project was to prevent HIV infection and other sexually transmitted infections among transgender individuals in two cities of Georgia, Batumi and Tbilisi.

Services available under the project included voluntary counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and Syphilis (Atashang), as well as the distribution of condoms and lubricants. Additionally, psychological counseling was provided.
